Modern Dance
Modern Dance CCA nurtures students’ passion for various dance genres, including hip-hop and contemporary dance. Guided by professional instructors, members develop their dance skills while growing into resilient, expressive, and committed individuals.
Objectives
In Modern Dance, the dancers will be developed in these three key areas:
Skills:
Guided by professional instructors, dancers are trained in a variety of dance genres such as hip-hop and contemporary. They develop essential skills in choreography, musicality, coordination, and stage presence.
Values:
Through regular training and teamwork, dancers cultivate discipline, perseverance, and a strong sense of responsibility. The demanding yet rewarding nature of dance instills resilience and commitment, helping them to push through challenges and grow in character.
Leadership:
Our members take on leadership responsibilities, such as leading warm-ups, mentoring juniors, and supporting event planning. Through these experiences, they develop communication, teamwork, and leadership skills, growing into confident and responsible individuals.

Programme Highlights
Our Modern dancers are provided with diverse performance opportunities across school, community and national platforms. They showcase their talents at school events and celebrations such as Chinese New Year, represent the school at external performances including the FaithActs Honours Night, and participate in prestigious national platforms such as the Singapore Youth Festival Arts Presentation. These experiences build dancers' confidence and stage presence while deepening their appreciation for the performing arts.
