Netball
Netball CCA nurtures confident, disciplined, and responsible girls who demonstrate grit, resilience, and sportsmanship. Through weekly training, members of all skill levels develop their physical competencies and a love for the fast-paced and strategic game.
Objectives
In Netball, the girls will be developed in these three key areas:
Skills:
Master fundamental netball skills such as passing, catching, footwork, and shooting. They will also gain an understanding of strategic play, including attacking and defensive tactics.
Values:
Cultivate core values like discipline (through consistent practice), respect (for teammates, opponents, and officials), resilience (bouncing back from a loss or mistake), and integrity (playing fairly and honestly). They learn to work collaboratively with their teammates, communicate effectively, and display good sportsmanship both on and off the court.
Leadership:
Take on leadership roles, such as team captains to build confidence, make decisions, be good role models and motivate their peers.

Programme Highlights
Training Sessions: During weekly training sessions, students will undergo fitness conditioning and drills, as well as gain an understanding of strategic game play.
National School Games (NSG): To challenge themselves, the P4 to P6 Netball School Teams compete in the annual National School Games. In the NSG Senior and Junior Division, the team competes in the ‘Pool’ stage before moving on to the ‘Tiered’ stage competition. The competition season for the Senior division runs from January to April, while the Junior division competes from July to September.
Friendly Matches & Carnivals: Apart from the annual championship, our P4-P6 teams participate in friendly matches with other schools and take part in netball carnivals at least once a year. These events provide valuable exposure to competitive play and allow students to apply their skills in a game environment.

Student Experiences
“It has been a meaningful and exciting journey for me. At first, I found training sessions tiring and challenging, but I slowly grew stronger and more confident. Through regular practice, I improved my skills and learned how important teamwork and communication are during drills. My teammates always encourage one another during training sessions, which motivates me to keep going even when I feel tired. Netball has taught me resilience, discipline and perseverance.” – Lugg Antonia Mei Hinggo
“Over the past 3-4 years in Netball, my journey has been both challenging and rewarding. When I first joined Netball, I was afraid of making mistakes and often found trainings tiring and overwhelming. However, with every session, I slowly improved and began looking forward to CCA. The challenges that felt difficult became opportunities for me to grow. Being selected to represent our school for NSG was both shocking and exciting, and it pushed me to step out of my comfort zone and give my best for the team. Competing against other schools has helped me learn new strategies and improve my game play. Netball has taught me resilience, discipline, respect and teamwork, and has shaped me to become a more confident and determined individual to strive to improve and to do my best.” – Bobis, Iana Sofia Lorenzo
